CARLE PLACE, NY — Leaders from across Long Island and New York City’s business, civic, and professional communities gathered at Fogo De Chão on Dec. 2 for the African American Small Business Foundation’s 2nd Annual Networking Soirée — an evening dedicated to collaboration, mentorship, and expanding economic opportunity.

This year’s theme, “The Power of Partnership,” highlighted the collective impact of the African American Small Business Foundation, the 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc., and the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (LIAACC). The event brought together entrepreneurs, executives, and community advocates for an evening of strategic networking and celebration.

Guests enjoyed two hours of appetizers, a festive atmosphere, and the chance to build meaningful connections while learning about ongoing initiatives that support minority-owned businesses across the region.

Representatives from all three partner organizations emphasized the importance of unified efforts in expanding financial literacy, access to capital, and entrepreneurial training — key pillars in strengthening New York State’s small business ecosystem.

The evening also included conversations about mentorship, leadership development, and the need for continued collaboration among regional institutions supporting African American professionals and business owners.
